One of the first things we need to do in order to create a website is to install WordPress. In this video I walk through the process and gives some basic configuration tips.
In The video I mentioned changing the default admin user ID and password. By default, WordPress installations use the admin username. The admin account provides access to the WordPress back end and all characteristics of the installation. Since this is well known, it can become a security vulnerability. A hacker can easily perform a brute force attack on the account to retrieve the WordPress admin login password.
